“Tele Tribe”, is a youth club program for telemark ski instruction in Park City, Utah. A safe, non-competitive atmosphere is provided at The Canyons Resort where kids can learn and share their skills with one another. The group is introduced to new terrain, new techniques, and new friends, as well as educated about group support, camaraderie and sportsmanship. Each Sunday, Tele Tribe hosts a ‘guest coach’ ranging from Park City locals, to professional Canyons/Alta Resort athletes, photographers and film makers. The group is open to young telemark skiers of all levels and abilities, ages 8-18 yrs.
The Club meets at the ski racks outside of the Red Pine Lodge (at Canyons mid-mountain ) on Sunday’s 12pm-4pm, starting on Sunday, January 3rd 2010 and ending on Sunday, March 28th with the free for all tele-skiers “End-of-season-Telebration”, a community wide telemark celebration of the freeheel spirit.
